As of December 5th, 2025, Shimane Organic Farm Co., Ltd. has obtained the food safety management system FSSC 22000 certification in order to provide safer and more reliable products.

FSSC22000 stands for Food Safety System Certification 22000, an international standard for food safety management systems.

FSSC 22000 is based on ISO 22000 and adds Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI)-approved Prerequisite Programs (PRPs) and additional requirements.

It is a system that ensures food safety throughout the entire supply chain, from production to consumption. By obtaining certification, companies can improve their credibility and expand globally. Furthermore, the Sakurae Town Mulberry Tea Producers Union, part of the Shimane Organic Farm Group, has obtained not only Organic JAS certification but also FSSC 22000 certification, providing even greater peace of mind by not only cultivating without the use of pesticides or chemical fertilizers and maintaining traceability, but also managing food hygiene, including preventing bacteria, corrosion, and damage from foreign objects, right from our fields.
